Nesting ceremony: “Celebrating the we: couple and children, one story.”
An intimate celebration designed for couples who want to renew their “yes” with their children present and participating. It is not a traditional wedding, it is a private ceremony, warm and full of symbols where each member brings their color, their voice and their place in the home.
What is it?
The NEST Ceremony is a unique symbolic ceremony format in which:
The couple renews vows in a close environment (house, garden, beach, hotel, vacations…). .
Children actively participate with key words (envelopes), readings or poems, and a ritual in which the whole family participates.
Included is the handfasting ritual where children choose a ribbon and place it in the hands of parents and family mini-vows to seal the commitment to care for each other: for both parents and children.
We ended with a symbolic signing and a moment of celebration.

- Vow renewals, anniversaries, romantic getaways, family trips or “just us” ceremonies (without guests).
How it happens (30-45 min approx.)
Welcome and context: “this story does not start today, it continues”.
The Words: envelopes with concepts (Love, Life, Caring, Laughter, Family…) read by children and partners.
Reading/poem from the children (optional and guided). And also from the parents to each of the children.
Hands joined with ribbons: the couple holds hands, the children put a ribbon on each hand and renew their promise.
Sand Ritual (5 jars or as many as you are): initial layers of the couple, layers of each child and final “team” layer poured at the same time.
Family mini-vows (simple repetition for children)Closing: words of home, kiss, symbolic signature and photos.

Is it a legal wedding?
No. It is symbolic. If you want, it can accompany or celebrate an anniversary/renewal.
Do children have to read?
Only if they feel like it. We can substitute readings for words on envelopes, drawings or place sand together.
Do we need witnesses or alliances?
It is not necessary. This ceremony does not require rings or a traditional “I do” (although it can be added).
What if there are more than five of us?
We adapt the rituals (more jars of sand, turns of words, participation of grandparents/siblings).
