Hacienda Mejina is located in the Aljarafe area of Seville, founded by a patrician named Messius, who called it Messina. But during the Arab domination its name was changed to Mexina and it was converted into an Alquería. Later, during the reign of Fernando III, this garden was ceded to the Knights of Aragon, who helped in the conquest of Seville, hence the name of one of the courtyards.
Within its current heritage we highlight a beautiful courtyard where there is a ceramic altarpiece of great beauty, a magnificent example of Sevillian ceramics, which reflects the portentous image of the CRISTO DEL AMOR, by Juan de Mesa.
On the other hand, inside the hacienda there is a large porticoed courtyard with semicircular arches on columns and glass Montera, which gives it a very pleasant air.
